Salary: From €13.50 per hour

Bonus: Performance-based, to be confirmed based on targets

Role Overview

We are looking for a General Operator with experience in growing and spraying to join our team. This role involves assisting in farm operations, crop care, chemical application, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience in safe pesticide use, farm machinery, and working in an outdoor environment.

Requirements:

Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in farming, horticulture, or fruit production

  • Knowledge of safe pesticide application (PA1 & PA6 certification preferred but not required; training can be provided)

  • Familiarity with modern farm machinery and tools

  • Strong understanding of plant health, pest control, and soil management

Physical and Technical Abilities

  • Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Physically fit for lifting, bending, and manual labor

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

Crop Care and Maintenance

  • Assist in daily crop management to ensure plant health and optimal growth

  • Monitor for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, and report any issues

  • Support irrigation management to maintain proper water supply

Spraying and Chemical Application

  • Safely handle, mix, and apply agricultural sprays and fertilizers

  • Follow all local and EU regulations regarding pesticide use and safety

  • Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, including product usage and dosages

  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of spraying equipment

General Farm Operations

  • Operate farm machinery for planting, pruning, and harvesting

  • Assist in harvesting, including fruit picking and quality control

  • Maintain farm infrastructure, including polytunnels and irrigation systems

  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Health and Safety Compliance

  • Follow all farm safety regulations and use required protective equipment when handling chemicals

  • Conduct routine safety checks and report any hazards or concerns

  • Participate in farm safety training sessions
