The product is supplied to roadside sales units, wholesale distributors, and retailers nationwide.

The Role

The Fruit Spray Operator plays a key role in ensuring the health and quality of the fruit crops. This position involves crop care, spraying, general farm maintenance, and compliance with agricultural safety standards. Harvesting may also be part of the role when needed.

Requirements:

Experience & Skills

Previous experience in agriculture, particularly with fruit or horticultural crops
PA2 and PA6 spray certification (preferred, but training can be provided)
Forklift truck certification is an advantage
Knowledge of modern farm machinery and pest control methods

Physical & Technical Abilities

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance
Good English communication skills
Full clean driving license is essential

Key Responsibilities:

1. Crop Care & Maintenance

Monitor plant health, identifying pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
Assist in daily crop management and growth optimization
Support harvesting operations, including fruit picking and quality control

2. Spraying & Chemical Application

Handle, mix, and apply agricultural sprays and fertilizers following farm protocols
Maintain compliance with local and EU pesticide regulations
Keep detailed records of all spray applications, including dosage and timing
Regularly calibrate and maintain spraying equipment

3. General Farm Operations

Assist in irrigation management to ensure proper water distribution
Operate farm machinery for planting, pruning, and harvesting
Maintain farm infrastructure, including polytunnels, irrigation systems, and equipment

4. Health & Safety Compliance

Follow farm safety protocols and wear necessary protective equipment
Conduct routine safety checks on machinery and equipment
Report potential hazards and participate in safety briefings
