The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Soft Fruit Farm Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our soft fruit production. The successful candidate will be responsible for crop management, team supervision, and ensuring all farm activities meet high standards of productivity, quality, and safety.

Requirements:

Experience & Skills:

Previous experience in a supervisory role within soft fruit farming.
Strong knowledge of soft fruit growing techniques and challenges.
Experience in leading and motivating agricultural teams.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining farm machinery.

Education:

A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical & Technical Abilities:

Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
Physically fit for manual labour tasks.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills in English.
Full clean driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Crop Management:

Plan, coordinate, and implement daily soft fruit cultivation activities.
Monitor crop health and performance, identifying and resolving issues related to pests, diseases, or nutrition.
Work closely with the Farm Manager to achieve production targets.

Team Supervision:

Lead, train, and supervise a team of farm workers.
Assign tasks and manage work schedules to maximise efficiency and output.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and farm procedures.

Quality Control:

Maintain high quality standards for all produce.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure fruit quality and resolve any issues.

Equipment and Infrastructure:

Oversee the proper use and maintenance of farm machinery, tools, and facilities.
Coordinate any required repairs or servicing of equipment.

Reporting and Documentation:

Keep accurate records of crop performance, labour activities, and operational data.
Prepare and submit regular reports to farm management, highlighting key metrics and improvement opportunities.
